The Divisional Police Officer in charge of Agbor Police Headquarters, CSP Rex Enweliku, has led men of the various security outfits in Agbor to patrol communities in Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State. The exercise which was held on Saturday being June 12, 2021, according to the police boss was a swift response to the order of the state Commissioner of Police, CP Ari Muhammed Ali, to ensure that no faceless sponsored protest was held in the area considering the End SARS saga where miscreants hijacked the process.
CSP Enweliku said his mission was to keep the local government peaceful, adding that the division was very ready to combat crime and to make sure that the peace being enjoyed by residents of Ika South is sustained. While reiterating his commitment to duty, he further stressed that the security of the area was sacrosanct and would not allow any criminal(s) to disrupt the already existing peace in the land, hence, the dogged patrol towards ensuring that no iota of protest was held.
“The CP has issued an order against the planned protest on June 12 and we are fully on ground to enforce it,” he said. The DPO used the medium to appreciate other sister security agencies and volunteer groups for their maximum cooperation towards the success of the exercise.
The exercise which was described as commendable was also joined by the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Security Matters, Comr. Solomon Ehondor and Hon. Marvin Nwagbogwu, popularly known as, Yankee.
