As plans for the Delta State Local Government Council Election kick start, youths under the auspices of Emenim/ Okowa Support Group, have adopted a stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP), Hon. John Emenim, for the Chairmanship position of Ika South Local Government .The youths who declared their support for Hon. Emenim during the week, said their decision was sequel to the developmental strides of the political icon, adding that he is a trusted, more reliable and effective in distributing good governance to the people.
The leader of the group, Mr. Malik Okafor, further explained that their principal, Hon. Emenim, is a youth-friendly and grass roots politician.He narrated that Hon. Emenim was well endowed with qualities of a good leader and was optimistic that he (Emenim) would surpass the records of his predecessors if given the opportunity to serve.
Speaking further, Okafor assured that Emenim will not disappoint the people, saying “he is transparent, God-fearing and a grassroot politician who will make the people of Ika South have a sense of belonging.”
We are sure of him to run an all inclusive government. Hence, we are standing solidly behind him while we encourage well meaning citizens of Ika South to queue behind Emenim to enable him succeed in the local government election,” he added.
