It was all pageantry and celebration galore on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at Mr.Thomas Ibude’s residence, along Charles Street, Agbor, Delta State, as he gave out his daughter’s hand, Irene Ibude in marriage to her heartrob, Mr. Clifford Ochuko.
The auspicious marriage reception, which took place at Pace hotel open field, along Charles Street Agbor, Delta State, under the chairmanship of the former provost of College of Education,Agbor, Chief Dr. E. U Tibi, had in attendance, Member, representing Ika South Constituency at the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Festus Okoh, Mr. John Okoh, parents of the bride, parents of the groom, family members, friends,well wishers and a host of others.
While addressing the gathering,the chairman of the occasion, Chief Dr. E. U Tibi stated that it is a thing of joy to identify with the couple and the father of the bride to share in their joy.
He advised the couple to live in harmony with each other, positing that they should learn to resolve any issue that may arise in their marriage in love, praying God to bless their union.
Also, the father of bride, Mr. Thomas Ibude expressed his gratitude to God, saying that his joy knows no bound.
“Today is my greatest day, as my daughter has brought honour and joy to me.
In fact, I’m happy that my daughter does not disappoint me.My daughter and her husband should respect each other and they should not allow third party to intrude in their union. As their parents, our part is to guide and play advisory role to them”, he stressed.While congratulating them, he enjoined them to always forgive each other, as this to him will enhance the growth of their union, wishing them conjugal bliss and prayed God to prosper their union and bless them in all areas of life.
On his part, the groom, Mr. Clifford Ochuko said that he is overwhelmed with joy, as he is married to his heartrob, saying that it is a dream come true.
In his words, “I appreciate God for giving me such a beautiful woman.She is the most amazing person I have ever met in my life.Our single brothers and sisters should marry somebody in line with their dreams, so that they can live a fulfilled life”.
He thanked the parents of his wife and his parents and those who graced the occasion for their contributions, supports and prayers toward the success of the occasion, praying God to grant them journey mercies back to their various destinations.
The high points of the occasion were, cutting of cake, presentation of gift items to the couple and taking of group photographs.
