The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Chairman, in Ward 3, in Ika North East Local Government, Chief Kingsley Osagie, the Okwuezekwu of Otolokpo, has on behalf of the residents of Kingsley Street, cried out to the Delta State Government under the leadership of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa to repair the street which is in a deplorable condition.
Chief Kingsley while expressing sadness over the poor state of the street, disclosed that it is a major road in Boji-Boji, Owa and it’s not only near the governor’s house but also, has as residents the member representing Ika Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Hon Victor Nwokolo and the Director of Protocol, Government House, Asaba, Hon Ifeanyi Eboigbe and other prominent persons in Ika Land.
“We are appealing to the Delta State Government under the leadership of our dear brother and father, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa to come to our rescue because we are passing through hell in Kingsley Street. The street is always taken over by flood each time it rains. The problem is beyond our control, hence, we are appealing to the state government to solve it for us. We are also begging our brothers, Hon Victor Nwokolo and Hon Ifeanyi Eboigbe whose buildings are at the beginning of the street to also intervene on the issue.
Kingsley Street connects other adjoining streets in Boji-Boji, Owa. The street is usually flooded each time there is a down pour. The flood cover the entire Street as it has no single drainage. The Landlords/Landladies who are now very worried over the deploable state of the street appealed to the state government not to abandon them but, facilitate the approval of the street. They declared that they will very grateful if government listen to their voice by constructing the street.
