It was joy unlimited for the congregation of Unity Baptist Church, Alihame as they held their annual harvest thanksgiving last Sunday. Testimonies, baby dedication, praise and worship were some of the line up of events that ensured a glorious occasion of thanksgiving for members of the church who came all out to return thanks and praise to God for sustenance all through the year.
Chief Dr. Yomi Hassan and his family were some of the dignitaries present who added pomp and colour to the occasion acclaimed to be one of a kind by the presiding pastor of the church, Reverend Monday Obuh.
In his words,” this year has been a really trying year for most of the world. The COVID-19 pandemic and a host of other challenges has made life really difficult for people. But we are here to give thanksgiving to God for seeing us through all these hardship in good health. I can tell you that God has been really faithful to members of this congregation, people have moved into their houses, bought cars and many other laudable achievements in the face of the daunting global pandemic. We indeed have all cause to give glory to God”.
He encouraged Christians to remain faithful and focused in serving God because his blessings endures infinitely.
Reverend Monday Obuh
