The new Executives of the Delta Broadcasting Service, DBS Asaba and Pointer Chapels of the Delta State Council of NUJ were respectively inaugurated, on Tuesday, December 1, 2020, after being returned elected.At DBS Asaba Chapel, Comrade Prince Pere Botu was returned elected as Chairman, alongside Comrades Tuoyo Toju for Vice Chairman, Ubini Caroline for Secretary, Joy Ochei for Assistant Secretary, Henrietta Oniyamah for Treasurer and Obuh Maureen for Financial Secretary.
Meanwhile, in Pointer Chapel, Comrade Sunny Egede was returned elected as Chairman for a second time with Comrades Benson Okobi as Vice Chairman, Christian Eze as Secretary and Bripin Enaruosai as Treasurer.
These elections were supervised by the State Working Committee and after the usual processes, the Secretary of the Council, Comrade Patrick Ochei administered the oath of office to them as the NUJ Constitution stipulates.
The new Executives were equally advised to unite all members, enforce strictly the Bye-Laws of the Union and ensure that the vacant positions are filled during any of their earliest congresses.
