Ezinne (Mrs) Cecilia Chiyere Ogbonyeri Celebrates 65th birthday

Senior Special Assistant to the executive governor of Delta State, on Women Mobilization, Ezinne Mrs Cecilia Chiyere Ogbonyeri clocked 65 years on Tuesday, July 27. The activities marking the birthday started on Sunday, July 25 with a thanksgiving service at All Saints Anglican Church, Agbor-Nta.The thanksgiving service was attended by family members and friends.

The main birthday party took place on Tuesday, July 27 at the residence of the governor’s aide at Agbor-Nta. It was attended by the Vice-Chairman, Ika South Local Government, Hon(Mrs) Patience Agboma, Councillors, Ika South Local Government Councill Legislative Arm, Imasua Amino, Marcus Ugbaja, PDP Ward Chairmen in Ika South, among others.

It was indeed a great day to remember as the children and friends of the celebrant joyfully felicitated and danced with her. They wished her many happy returns and more glorious years ahead.

Speaking in an interview, Ezinne Mrs Cecilia Chiyere Ogbonyeri expressed gratitude to the Almighty God for keeping her alive and healthy to celebrate her 65th birthday. She disclosed that God has been very good to her and members of her family, hence, she will remain eternally grateful to Him.

She thanked her husband and children for their love and support, stating that she is very proud of them.

She also expressed her warm appreciation to the executive governor of Delta State, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, member representing Ika North East Constituency at the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon Tony Elekeokwuri, member representing Ika Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Hon Victor Nwokolo, Peoples Democratic Party Chairman, Ika South, Jude Onya, Dr Donald Peterson, and all persons who contributed in different ways in making the birthday party a huge success.

She said life begins at 65 as she will continue to glorify God for his blessings, grace and mercy.

She rounded up by specially thanking Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for finding her worthy to serve in his government. She promised to continue to support and pray for Governor Okowa’s success in office.

He does not deny the fact of his origin as an Agbor man, but flaunts his Agbor identity anywhere and anytime as he could do anything or offend anyone in the defence of his Agbor people and race, without apologise.

Wednesday being January 13, 2021, was a unique day for this godly individual as it marked his birthday anniversary.The special day offered him the privilege of celebrating with caliber of friends and family members at his Ohumere residence in Ime-Obi, Agbor, Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State.

Among the guests were Magistrate Chief Anene, Mr. Monday Egbudu (CEO of I.M. Property & Transport) Mr. Enwemeka Simeon Igweh (CEO of Igweh Global Property) and Mr. Igumbor Jack, the Ihara Dein of Agbor, who in their separate remarks eulogized Igumbor, describing him as a man of uncommon courage and foresight with huge network of relationship.Mr. Igumbor, in the people’s accolades, remains a man they are proud of, particularly for his achievements. They wished him many more years of birthday celebrations.

Speaking to Ika Mirror, Mr. Igumbor thanked God for making him count 79 years of his life going forward.He also thanked God for the gift of his loving family which according to him, has giving him the reason to be alive and healthy.He could not betray his love for his kingdom as he enjoined all well meaning Agbor sons and daughters to live in peace, unity and also rally round their king, the Dein of Agbor kingdom, HRM, Dr. Benjamin Ikenchuku, Keagborekuzi the first.

Onye Leha Nwene Emueburue Ladies League, Asaba celebrates 10th anniversary

It was indeed a moment of fun amidst thanksgiving to the Almighty God as members of Onye Leha Nwene Emueburue Ladies League, Asaba celebrated their tenth anniversary in grand style.

The ceremony marking the tenth anniversary of the League took place on Sunday, December 6, 2020 at Ausluck Place, Asaba. In attendance were members and their loved ones, including friends and well wishers.

The tenth anniversary was described as a huge success. The ceremony featured lecture on health anchored by Matron Mosieri Agatha and former chairman, Nigeria Medical Association (NMA), Dr Cletus Otene. There was also talk on security by Mr Egede Felix and a novelty match by members of the League.

Onye Leha Nwene Emueburue Ladies League Asaba, a registered co-operative society with the Ministries of Women Affairs and Commerce and Industry, started on January 10, 2010. The League has since inception recorded many milestone achievements, which include rendering financial supports and love to members. The League’s current President is Mrs. Kisimkwu Isioma while the Matrons are: Mrs. Ogor Obuh and Mrs. Mosieri Agatha. The Legal Adviser of the League is Chief (Barr) Chukwuma Ebu, the Iwu Dein of Agbor Kingdom.

Executive members of the League are: Mrs Kisimkwu Isioma (President), Mrs. Otene Francisca (Vice-President), Mrs. Ojei Judith (Secretary), Mrs. Egede Favour (PRO/Provost) and Mrs. Ugboboghene Ngozi (Treasurer).Others are: Mrs. Hunkari Jane, member, Mrs. Ineh Joan, member, Mrs. Ezeana Ifeanyi, member, Mrs. Elema Annabel, member and Mrs. Ukpere Ebere, member.

The President, Mrs. Kisimkwu Isioma in her remark expressed gratitude to the Almighty God for the success of the anniversary. She also thanked members for the various roles they played towards the success of the anniversary. While saying thank you to the League’s Patrons, guest lecturers and loved ones for their support, she prayed the good Lord to continue to sustain them as they strive to succeed in their different fields of life endeavours.
