Chief Benjamin Ogwun marries heartthrob

It was indeed a moment of joy and celebration galore, as the Oku Dein Wu Ukpe of Agbor Kingdom, Chief Benjamin O. Ogwun,JP of Ewuru Community, Agbor, headquarters of Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State married to his heartthrob, Chukwudumebi, now Mrs Chukwudumebi Ogwun in a traditional marriage ceremony which was held on Saturday, March 13, 2021 in Agbor, Delta State.

The Marriage Reception which took place at Orewa Family Event Field, opposite Dr. Okwuada Poultry, Ewuru Road, Ewuru, Agbor, Delta State attracted high profile personalities amongst whom were, Chiefs of Agbor Kingdom, parents of the Bride, family members of the couple, friends, well wishers and a host of others.

While addressing the gathering, the Chairman of the occasion and Chief Ekpe of Agbor Kingdom, Prince Erere Ojemudia thanked God for the gift of life and a fair weather to make the day a reality.

He wished the couple a blissful married life, urging them to care, love and cherish each other, as this to him will make their marriage blossom forever.

On his part, the groom, Chief Benjamin O. Ogwun J.P, who is also the Oku Dein Wu Ukpe of Agbor Kingdom appreciated God and parents of his wife for giving him his heartthrob, saying that he is overwhelmed with joy, because it is a dream come true.

According to him, “After my retirement as a Police Officer, I ventured into business and I’m doing very fine in it. I was married and blessed with four children. Incidentally, my wife died about a year ago. In line with the doctrines of the Catholic Church, where I worship, I have to remarry, which brings about today’s marriage ceremony.

The lady who I am married to, was once married and her marriage was blessed with three children but her husband l died. I approached her and she accepted to marry me. The first thing to do is to give the children the best education in life, because I have taken them as my children, as this is part of what I celebrated”.

He used the medium to thank everyone who graced the occasion for their supports, contributions and prayer for the success of their marriage ceremony, praying God to grant them their heart desires and journey mercy back to their various destinations.

High points of the occasion were cutting of the marriage cake, presentation of gift items to the couple and taking of photographs.

Chido and Chinyere now husband and wife

It was all joy amidst thanksgiving to the Almighty God as the Oseh family of Abavo, in Ika South Local Government Area, Delta State and the family of Okorie of Emekuku Local Government Area,Imo State witnessed the solemnization in holy matrimony of their children, Hon Oseh Chidozie Roland and Okorie Chinyere.

The well attended ceremony took place at Christ Chosen Church of God International, Agbor Branch 3, Agbor on Sunday, January 17 . The solemnization rite was performed by the resident pastor of the branch, Monday Odiase who congratulated and wished the couple happy married life.

The elated couple who spoke in an interview expressed gratitude to the Almighty God for making their dream of becoming husband and wife come to pass. They thanked their parents and all persons who contributed in various ways towards the success of their marriage.They specifically thanked Mrs Ogwun Mabel, Mr Michael Oseh, Chukwudi Orikara, Mr Obioma Jude Okorie and Engr(Dr)Jeffrey Oseh for their immense support.

SDP Chairman, Eke Egede celebrates Mom at 90 years

It was indeed a great moment last Sunday, December 27, 2020 as the Social Democratic Party, SDP Chairman in Ika South Local Government; Mr. Eke Egede celebrated his mother, Mrs. Roseline Egede 90years birthday. The birthday ceremony was also to commemorate the installation of Mrs. Roseline Egede as the oldest woman in Alijemisi, Alisimie, Agbor.

The epoch making ceremony which took place at Alisimie was witnessed by the children of the celebrant, family members, including friends and well wishers.The installation rites were carried out by the representative of the Ekpenike of Alijemisi and were witnessed by elders, women and youths in the community.

Some of those present at the Ogwa where the installation of Mrs. Roseline Egede as the oldest woman at Alijemisi took place congratulated and wished her good health and more years as she discharges her traditional activities.

For the SDP Chairman, Eke Egede, “I’m very happy and grateful to the Almighty God for keeping us alive to witness this great day in history. My siblings and I congratulate our dear mother for not only attaining the age of 90 years. We give glory to the Almighty God for His grace and blessing upon us. We will give our mother the moral and financial supports she needs to succeed in her office for the overall good of Alijemisi, Alisimie and Agbor as a whole.

Reception took place at the residence of the celebrant where guests were lavishly entertained. Among the guests present at the ceremony were: Hon Kingsley Noye Philip, Hon Monye Lucky Ehiwuogun, also known as, Ukpe, Mr. Odia, an Aide to Deputy Senate President, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, Hon Celestine Onyibe and other party stalwarts.
