Agbor Gha-Ihun Vigilante: Monday Kiyem’s re-election as Chairman is well deserved

The Director of IM Properties & Transport, Mr. Monday Egbudu, has described the re-election of Comr. Monday Kiyem to further lead members of the most formidable local security outfit in Agbor, Agbor Gha-Ihun Vigilante, as well deserved.Mr. Egbudu stated this while speaking with Ika Mirror during the week, adding that Comr. Kiyem while in his first tenure, performed creditably well.

According to him, Monday Kiyem did very well to be re-elected for continuity. He was able to unite the members to have them work in one common goal which is to voluntarily secure Agbor community against crime.

“I want to congratulate him for this achievement as no body have serve as Agbor Gha-Ihun Chairman for two tenure.“I urge him to continue with the good work he has started even as I pray that God will grant him the enablement to finish strong in his second tenure,” Mr. Egbudu added.

Comr. Kiyem was on Sunday, May 30, 2021, re-election unopposed alongside his executive by members of the security group after a unanimous vote of confidence passed on Kiyem’s leadership.The inaugural ceremony was held amidst funfair which witnessed the presence of palace chiefs of Agbor kingdom amongst other notable personalities.

Agbor Gha Ihun Congratulates General

General Leo Irabor on his appointment as Chief of Defense Staff

An apex Agbor vigilante group, Agbor Gha Ihun, has congratulated Major General Leo Irabor, on his appointment as Chief of Defense Staff by President Muhammadu Buhari. The group which spoke through its Chairman and Special Assistant to the Delta State Governor, ,on Security Mr Monday Kiyem described Irabor’s appointment as well deserved. On behalf of his group, Kiyem wished the highest ranking officer of the Nigerian Armed Forces success in his new national engagement.

Agbor Gha-Ihun donates patrol van to Ihu-Iyase vigilante group

…calls for more synergy

The apex security group of Agbor kingdom, Agbor Gha-Ihun, has donated a patrol van to her sister security group in the area, Ihu-Iyase Vigilante group to encourage the group in community policing.The patrol van was handed over to the group on Sunday, January 10, 2021 at Agbor Gha-Ihun head office in Ime-Obi, Agbor in the presence of the Area Commander of the Police Community Relation Committee (PCRC), Chief Darlington Igheghe, who in his words commended Monday Kiyem led administration of Agbor Gha-Ihun.

While presenting the patrol van, the Chairman of Agbor Gha-Ihun who doubled as Special Assistant to the Governor of Delta State, Comr. Monday Kiyem, said the gesture was a general agreement by his team having considered their working relationship which according to him, yielded results.

He noted that Ihu-Iyase vigilante group were responsive to security matters. Hence, the donation to encourage their quick response to duty.He said, “We, the members of Agbor Gha-Ihun are very happy donating this patrol van to Ihu-Iyase Vigilante group not because we have too much patrol vehicles, but to encourage our working relationship.“With this patrol van, we are sure of Ihu-Iyase being able to respond to security calls swiftly before our arrival, particularly at Oki Community which shares common boundary with Edo State.”

Speaking further, Comr. Kiyem urged the Vigilante groups to always work in synergy so as to collectively chase criminals out of Agbor and it’s environs.Responding, the Chairman of Ihu-Iyase vigilante group, Mr. Francis Ofuoyebuozo, thanked Agbor Gha-Ihun for the gift.He extolled the virtues of Comr. Kiyem and in the same vein assured of proper maintenance of the patrol van.

He said the patrol van will spur them to redouble their effort in community policing.
