Agbor Community Union inaugurates youth wing executive as Onyeche warns against party politics

The umbrella group of the Agbor people, Agbor Community Union,ACU has inaugurated a youth wing executive. The youth wing executive was inaugurated on Saturday, February 20 at the Agbor Community Hall, Ime-Obi, Agbor by the President-General, Agbor Community Union, Mr Larry Egun Onyeche.Mr Onyeche during the inauguration ceremony congratulated members of the new executive. He warned the newly elected executive against using their new positions for political gains as ACU will deal decisively with anyone found wanting in that regard.

Onyeche who addressed the youths noted that during the constitution review of ACU cognizance was not taken in regards to zoning in order to carry all zones in Agbor kingdom alongHe pointed out that a committee has been set up to look into that. He said that for the youths election,zoning was considered and applied adding that all the zones were carried along and the deputy president is a lady.He maintained that the youth wing is an integral part of the unions constitution but for some person who have been trying to sabotage the activities of the body,hence, the delay in conducting the election.

On his part, the Chairman Electoral Committee Dr.Onyemaechi Ugboh before the election sued for peace as he disclosed that it is not a paid job but rather a call for service and sacrifice. He added that if anyone is vying because he or she thinks that there is money to be made such a one is making a mistake because there is no money anywhere to be made.He said the only benefit is that one serving gains recognition through meeting people and can get a job along the line.

In appreciation, the newly elected President, Youth Wing Agbor Community Union, Mr. Anointed Ogala ,thanked everyone present for their support and contributions towards the success of the election as he assured that he and his team will run an open door policy and everyone will be carried along.He promised to work in synergy with the main body and obey the constitution of the union.

Crack on the wall as ACU executive calls for vote of no confidence on Agbor PG

Agbor Community Union (ACU), the apex group of Agbor kingdom in Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State, seems to be in commotion as some of its executive go tough against her President General, Mr. Larry Onyechei.

In a press statement made available by the Public Relations officer, Comr. Benedict Ebede, on Wednesday, December 2, 2020, he frowned against what he alleged as unwholesome actions of the President General, pointing out that his leadership was with selfless tendencies.His words, “The very essence of leadership is to serve the people and service devoid of selfish tendencies. I have been compelled by the selfish attitude of the President General to inform the Agbor people about his ugly activities in A.C.U.

My dear Agbor people, we have unfortunately come to the realization that Lawrence Onyeche took over the leadership of Agbor Community Union in pursuit of his immediate and extended family’s interest. The height of greediness he has been exhibiting since he became President General has been at cross purpose with the aims and objectives of Agbor Community Union.

Lawrence Onyeche disposition’s in managing the activities of A.C.U has led a good number of our executive to resign their positions while some other executive have remained docile in carrying out their responsibilities.

Agbor Community Union was able to secure job opportunities for our youths from the Central Bank of Nigeria through our illustrious son, Godwin Emefiele. It is disheartening to let you all know that Lawrence Onyeche shared all the slots between his immediate and extended families.

Recently, he also used the goodwill of our noble association to collect some shops from the management of Ika South Local Government Council which he eventually sold at very exorbitant rate without remitting the money to the union treasury despite, our concerted efforts in ameliorating the sufferings of indigent Agbor traders.

Also, ACU lost the privilege of post of a Federal lecturing appointment with the University of Nigeria, Nssuka, because of the antics of Onyeche, as he gave the slot to his son who rejected the offer based on the fact that he was already working with same salary grade.

The Congress organized by Larry Onyeche was attacked by hoodlums, An audio was in circulation were Larry said he knew where the attacker came from. Till date he never took actions to bring them to book.

Summarily, The President General has frustrated every effort in inaugurating the Youth Wing of Agbor Community Union. It is worrisome knowing that this action is a complete breach of our association’s constitution. I am calling on the youths of Agbor kingdom to expediently call for the election and inauguration of executive for the Youths Wing of Agbor Community Union.

At this juncture, I speak to the consciences of all Agbor Sons and Daughters to pass a VOTE OF NO CONFIDENCE on Lawrence Onyeche for all his ill actions through Agbor Community Union.”
