In her words, “I want to thank God for this award, for giving me the strength to start as a classroom teacher and retired as a Director. Today, I’m being honoured, as one of the retirees, which has not happened before.

My work experience was challenging but God saw me through. Active civil servants should be committed to their work and not expecting gratification from Government, because some of the students their teaching will become governors, as others will hold vital office in the society. God will cause those students to remember them and that is the joy of being a teacher”.

She lauded the efforts of NUT leadership in Ika South Chapter, saying that they have done well, advising them to keep doing their good works. She therefore prayed God to prosper them in all areas of life.
