The Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria NYCN Delta State Chapter, Amb. Kenneth Okorie on November 11, 2020 played host to the South South Youth Peace Mission during a courtesy visit at the Delta State Headquarters of the National Youth Council of Nigeria NYCN, Asaba.The South South Youth Peace Mission, a registered youth based non-governmental organization in Nigeria under the leadership Comrade Ebimie Makera with the aim of promoting peace and dialogue in the south south zone of Nigeria.

The State Youth Council Chairman, Amb. Kenneth Okorie while interacting with the South South Youth Peace Mission during the courtesy call, urge the youth group to embrace and key into the program and policies of the Delta State Government.

The State Youth Council Chairman urged the group to ensure that their membership spread should cut across the 25 LGAs of Delta State and assured the group of the readiness of the state youth council to partner with the South South Youth Peace Mission in the interest of peace and sustainable development.

The highlight of the event was the presentation of souvenir to the State Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria NYCN.The State Youth Council Chairman, Comrade Kenneth Okorie also in return presented Covid-19 prevention items such as handwashing soaps to members of the South South Youth Peace Mission in continuation of the fight against the pandemic.

The State Youth Council Chairman informed the south south youth peace mission that the Handwashing soaps and sanitizers were produced by members of the state youth council who have acquired various types of skills as the NYCN is an asset that enables the young people to realize their dreams through personal developmental initiatives.

Other members of the NYCN present at the courtesy visit includes Comrade Collins Enekorogha, the State Secretary General of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Delta State Chapter and Comrade Nwange Sanda, the National officer of the National Youth Council of Nigeria.
