Succour is definitely coming the way for patients with kidney related issues living in and around Agbor as the Rotary Renal Centre domiciled at the Central Hospital Agbor will soon be in full operation. This is according to the past District Governor of Rotary District 9141 and member of Rotary Club of Agbor, Rotn. Adeyemi Oladokun who stated the Renal Centre is at 90 percent level of completion.Briefing newsmen shortly after an assessment tour of the ongoing project conducted by some members of the Rotary Club of Agbor at the Central Hospital Agbor on Tuesday August, 11, Rotn Oladokun maintained that the project is a global grant from the Rotary Foundation which was attracted to Agbor during his time as District Governor and the facility is equipped with dialysis machines and other state of the art medical equipments that will adequately cater for patients with kidney problems. In his words, “this renal centre is quite unique in the sense that it is the only Rotary Renal centre in the whole of West Africa. Agbor is indeed blessed and lucky to have such a facility and I feel proud it happened during my tenure as District Governor”.Speaking further he noted that at completion the facility will be handed over to the management of the hospital after a duly signed MOU which will give Rotary Club full oversight and supervisory functions. He thanked the management of the hospital for their full cooperation all through the building process and looks forward to its commissioning. Also speaking, Rotn Chief Hetty Ajuebon Egbarin JP++ noted the gesture is in tandem with the core philosophy of Rotary which is service above self. She thanked Rotn Oladokun for bringing such a lofty project to Agbor, describing him as a dedicated goal getter who is particular about community development. In his speech, the President, Rotary Club of Agbor, Rotn Chris Ejime Monye expressed joy that such a ground breaking project is being executed in his time as President of the club.
