Governor Yahaya Bello has suspended the Vice Chancellor of Kogi State University, Prof Abdulkadir and the Rector of Kogi State Polytechnic, Prof Atureta

According to reports, the Governor insisted that the two top officials’ non-compliance with the Treasury Single Account (TSA) policy of the state government amounted to insurbordination and he allegedly refused to be placated over it.

The state’s Commissioner for Information and Communication, Kingsley Fanwo confirmed the suspension of the two top officials and also reveal that the Chief Medical Director of the State Specialist Hospital, Dr Ahmed Attah was also suspended for a similar offence on February 7.

Fanwo urged top management of agencies in the state to fully abide by the new financial guidelines as no one will be shielded when found wanting.

He added that Governor Yahaya Bello was introducing the policies in the best interest of the system.
