Naomi Campbell wrote a congratulations letter to Angelique Kidjo on her win at the Grammy Awards, World music category.  She also wrote to Burnaboy,referring him as ‘African Giant’ and stating that he would always remain a winner in our hearts and its only due to lack of  education that he was not honored with the accolades he truly deserved.

Naomi also wrote to recording academy, telling them to use the rest of the year to access and reflect on what their perspective of ‘World Music’ is. She also told them to respect and recognize Afrobeat genre of music, just like every other musical genre.
