Jelani Maraj (Nicki Minaj’s older brother) was sentenced to 25 years of life in prison on the 27th of January,2020 at a Long Island, NY Court for raping his (now former) then 11 year old stepdaughter repeatedly.

Jelani begged for mercy during sentencing, claiming he had an “excessive drinking problem” although he still maintained being innocent and believes the whole rape story was fabricated to extort his famous sister, Nicki Minaj.

The Judge had less sympathy for Maraj and declared him guilty of ruining the girl, who was said to be now suicidal due to the rapes. Therefore Jelani Maraj was proven guilty of predatory sexual assault.
